Cork on a Fork Fest returns from 13-17 August
Championing Community, Inclusivity, Diversity and Sustainability
CBA is delighted to once again partner with Cork on a Fork Fest, a five-day celebration of Cork’s exceptional food culture. This festival highlights the city’s culinary excellence, world-class dining experiences, locally sourced produce, and vibrant nightlife.
With over 70 events, the programme includes exclusive dining experiences, pop-ups, chef collaborations, engaging talks, cooking demonstrations, immersive food trails, and a dedicated children’s programme.
Many of our members took part last year, and we encourage you to do so again.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS 31 MARCH
2024Highlights included
- The VQ Shared Table: 400 guests dining at a long table on MacCurtain Street, featuring 22 chefs, 40 wait staff, and all Cork producers.
- A 100-seat cooking demonstration marquee
- Chef Collaborations
- Unique dining experiences
- Bustling markets on Emmet Place
Designed to be accessible and inclusive, the festival offers a mix of ticketed and free events, attracting both locals and visitors. It provides a key attraction during August, traditionally a quieter month for events in the city.
In 2024, the festival’s growing international appeal was evident, with businesses reporting visitors from across Europe and enquiries from the US following the success of the long-table event. Extensive media coverage, including a feature in the UK’s leading food publication, Olive Magazine and visits from key UK influencers, further amplified its reach.
For businesses, Cork on a Fork presents a prime opportunity to:
– Increase bookings as we promote Cork as a food destination.
– Collaborate with other restaurants, new producers, and stakeholders.
Cork on a Fork is key festival in Cork’s bid to become a World Region of Gastronomy.
It is organised and supported by Cork City Council, local hospitality businesses, and is supported by Fáilte Ireland, Ireland’s Ancient East, Pure Cork, Cork Airport, Cork Business Association, the IHF Cork branch, the Irish Examiner and Cork’s RedFM.
