Pre-Budget Submission 2027

Pre-Budget Submission 2027

Cork is at a pivotal moment in its development. As Ireland’s fastest-growing city region and the principal counterbalance to Dublin, Cork has a critical role to play in delivering national objectives across housing, enterprise, infrastructure and regional development. Budget 2027 provides the government with a crucial opportunity to deliver for Cork, for business, and for the national economy.
Ahead of Budget 2027, the Cork Business Association has submitted a detailed budget submission to Government reflecting the needs and concerns of our members, SME businesses, CBA stakeholders, and Cork City as a whole. We trust that the contents of this submission will be carefully reviewed and that the priorities of Cork and its business community will be fully considered.
Through stakeholder feedback, CBA has highlighted six main focuses to be considered upon the next budget:
  1. Housing
  2. Investment Options
  3. Capital Gain Tax
  4. Inheritance Tax Reform
  5. Transport Infrastructure
  6. Cost of doing business
The Cork Business Association looks forward to working constructively with Government, public representatives and key stakeholders in advancing the measures outlined in this submission.
